Kōkō no Bando

"It all began with us in the Music Club, and it made out to the big stage live in front of a huge crowd."

Sakurahana Highschool; in the courtyard of which stands a very old sakura tree. A huge sakura tree that has seen much during it's age. It's the symbol of the high school itself, actually. And in this school, beneath this very sakura tree, a student hits upon an idea to begin a Music Club with his friends. Little did he know that this little club of theirs shall be the one to give birth to their band, Hanafubuki (Shower of Cherry Blossom).

The band shall be consisting of the following members. As applications will be accepted, the role-players name shall be added next to the instrument:

*Bassist - Haruki Kaemon (Pierrot)
*Drummer - Yasuo Yakihito (KyokoYei)
Keytar - Kenshin Yamato (Helskyth)

*Vocalist (Anyone who plays an instrument can also take up this role) - Haruki Kaemon (Pierrot), Kenshin Yamato (Helskyth)

Note that the names with a * are the roles that must be taken up; they are essential to the band. The ones without a * are optional. The RP will be taking place soon after when the band is formed, so please RP with that in mind.

*You don't need to actually know much about instruments; just the basics will do. **Having relationships with other characters is allowed, as this RP will also be focusing on the lives of the characters rather than just focusing on the band itself. ***Characters can play up to two instruments, however, the other instrument must be either one of the optional instruments mentioned before or an instrument that is not required in the band. ****There can be two Vocalists in the band and either of them can play any instruments as well except the drums.

Name: Haruki Kaemon
Age: 16

Background: Haruki was brought up in a normal family. His life went on with ease without any problems. His both parents were busy with their work but loved their children as any loving parents would. They would spend all their weekend with their children, making up for all the time they couldn't be with them during their working days. Haruki had a thing for music, which is why one day he bought a bass guitar using up all of his saved up money. He began learning through books and the internet and eventually became pretty good at it. He's average in his studies, has a good and happy personality and just like his name, he's a joyful person who often tends to act childish around his friends but can say the most amazing things sometimes. He can also sing but prefers to play the bass guitar more in the band.

Background: Reina had a semi-normal childhood. She lived with her grandparents, while her parents were off traveling the world, playing their classical music. They always had high hopes for her, thinking she was going to play the piano. But Reina preferred rock music, so when she had enough money from her waitressing job, she went and bought a guitar. At first she sucked at it, but as she played she got caught up in the beatiful sounds that the guitar made. Before long, she got good at playing it. Reina would sit out by the sakura tree and play, letting the music flow over the school grounds as she sang softly. She loves singing as well but her true passion will always be her guitar.

Background: He's the oldest of three other children, two are girls one is a boy who is the youngest. He's very patience with people. He's always moved around a lot and never really liked to do anything until his father gave him a drum set for his 10th birthday. Eventually he got really good at his playing skill, though he still tends to draw at random times to get into his own world. His sister asked him to play the clarinet that was laying around and he became good at that, though drums are his primary instrument. He has his rebellious streak, dying his black hair blonde and having a punk style, but is a very quiet and kind person.

Likes: Video games, martial arts and nature
Dislikes: People and dead batteries
Position: Violinist (Isn't the instrument suitable enough?)
Background: Bored of people, Kuji often cuts class and plays video games below the Sakura tree. Even so, he passes every test perfectly. Even though he distastes people of the real world, he finds that being in the band is as inviting as any game. As a pro-gamer, once Kuji clears a game his on to the newest one.

Background: Hotaru had a pretty normal childhood, with normal parents. She has always had a passion for the cello, so she was happy beyond words when she received one on her 16th birthday. Since then, she has gotten quite good at it. She is very quiet and doesn't often express how she feels about anything. Unless it involves cake.

Hobbies: Kenshin likes to record audio with his old MP3, then mix and play around with the tracks. He sometimes tries mimmick the audio he captures vocally, which his friends tend to find peculiar. Particluary when he tries to mimmick animals.

Dislikes: Overcast Days, Soft Drinks, The feel of feathers on his skin.

Background: Kenshin's got a strange family background. His Father is a Japanese buisnessman, and his Mother is a full blooded Scots-woman. Both of them have their own strange quirks, and as their only son, Kenshin's wound up just as quirky. He likes to pay homadge to his mother's Scottish heritage, and sometimes wears his Grandfather's old Kilt around the house. But outside the house, he tries to dress to the typical local fashions for kids his age as his way of fitting in. His parents also both encouraged him to learn an instrument. His Mother, enouraging wind instruments, which eventually lead him to learn Bagpipes; and his father, the Keyboard, which lead him to getting hooked on the Keytar. Kenshin is generally quite energetic and enthusiastic about things.

Welcome aboard.

Alright then, let's get this thing started.

"Kaemon! No running the hallwa- Hey! Get back here!! I'm talking to you, Haruki Kaemon!!" yelled the vice-president who was left behind in ignorance by Haruki as he raced through the halls, running up the stairs and finally catching his breath when he reached his destination. With his bass guitar resting in a case that he carried over his shoulder, he pushed open the door to the room which was formerly the Light Music Club and now the club room for Hanafubuki, the band he had made with his friends.

"Hey, everyone! Sorry for running late again! The cleaning duties took longer than I thought but better late than never I guess! So, what are we gonna do today?" said Haruki as he began to open his guitar's case and take it out.

Kuji looked up when Kaemon came in, but then right back to what he was doing. "Always late." Seated on the frame of an opened window, Kuji was playing one of his games as usual. by his feet was a black violin that shined in the afternoon's light.

His screen flashed off, and with a sigh, Kuji hopped off the window and picked up his bow and started to rosin it. With his MP3 player blasting in his ears, he had not heard anything that has been said since he got there, but he had to now. First he pulled out his lighter and tried to light it. "Damn. Empty." Anothe sigh and he put the lighter away and turned his music off.

Reina watched as Haruki Kaemon ran through the hallways, oblivious to the shouts. She almost smiled..almost. She hasn't found much to smile about at this school, besides the music club anyway. She froze, finally realizing why her fellow club member was running. She cursed and quickly followed him up the stairs...with a few shouts as well.

She slowed down when she got to the doorway and slowly opened the door. She wouldn't eve be able to live it down if anybody found out that she had been running through the halls. Reina looked at Kaemon, "have a nice jog?" She asked him, knowing there was no signs of her even running...other than the vice president, but that didn't count.

Even as she asked him that she noticed the other member trying to get his lighter to work. She mentally shook her head; he had always came out to be rude, at least it seemed that way to her. Reina then took her guitar from her shoulder and knelt down to carefully take out her most prized posession.

Kenshin strolled down the hall on his way to the Music Club, his MP3 player in hand playing back the some audio he'd recorded of birds singing by the park earlier that morning. He whistled to himself, trying to mimmick the birds calls. He rounded a corner, an clearly his whistles had sounded sus as a group of girls turned and scowled at him for a moment.

Blushing a bit, he appologised and made his way past them quickly and approached the club room. He saw Keimon and Reina had only just enetred and rushed along to get inside, tightening the strap of his Keytar over his shoulder.
He entered, whistling out to the group at first, "Mina-san, Konnichiwa!"

When Haruki took out his bass, he heard Reina's voice behind him and stood up to face her. "Ah, Reina-sempai! Yep. Just had the run of my life, but I guess that's nothing new.", saying so he smiled at his silliness while scratching the back of his head. He looked around the room to scan for the members but the only ones here were Kuji Keiwa; a first year like him and who felt a bit distant no matter how much Haruki attempted to approach him, Reina Brooks; a second year who was really good with the guitar and Hotaru, who sat on a chair silently tuning her Cello and...

Upon hearing the footsteps of someone entering the room and calling out to everyone, Haruki looked over his shoulder and saw Kenshin in the room. "Yo, Kenshin-sempai." he greeted his senior with whom he got along relatively well.

Upon hearing all of the commotion, Hotaru sighed and gave up on tuning. Cello was a strange instrument for this kind of band, but Haruki had insisted she join. She had never really been good with people either, so being there made her feel a bit on edge.

She re-adjusted herself in her chair and began to quietly play one of her favourite songs to calm down.

((Ack! I missed the beginning again.))
Yasuo walked into the room and saw that he wasn't the last one there. "Ah. That's good. I wasn't the last one here this time." He pulled a small bag out of his back pack and took out some snacks for the club. He walked over quietly to Hotaru and placed one of the sweets on her head gently. "Care for some Daifuku?" He said and smiled.

Kuji stood up and faced the four late members. "Yakihito. Kaemon. Brooks. Yamato. Welcome, you're all late. Hotaru, Good afternoon." He couldn't stand when people were late. People in games are in perfect synch with their attendance, so why must these fools be different?

Kuji then proceeded to picking up his violin and played a short song he wrote of the Sakura tree. During the song, he looked Kaemon in the eye with disgust. "Afterwards, follow me to the tree. I'm tired of your tardy behavior." Placing his violin back down, he turned to Yakihito. "Thank you for bringing sweets. May I?"

Reina could feel her cheeks redden slightly at Kuji's attitude. It was no wonder she spent most of her time with her grandma or playing her guitar. She nearly glared at him, but decided not to get involved with his dramatics. He didn't even know how her day had been, and she wasn't about to enlighten him.

She greeted the other few members she hadn't noticed, or had just come in with a strained smile. Reina really didn't want to deal with Kuji, but she had to. That's why she ignored him most of the time. "Kaemon, just ignore him," she said with mock sweetness added, "he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed, that's all." She cursed her tongue, sometimes she couldn't hold back.

Yasuo pinched his nose. "Yeah yeah. Unlike Mr. Cut class, we have to clean at the end of the day." He smiled at Kuji again, "Yes." He handed him one of the sweets that he usually brought for the club and walked to Reina. "Care for one?"
Kuji seemed like he was in a bad mood, though they DID come in late. But he didn't need to be mean about it. "Sure, what do you have planned for us then?" He asked, ignoring his crankyness.

Reina turned toward Yasuo and took one of the sweet, "thank you." She usually didnt take what Yasuo offered, but she decided to change things up today. She bit into it and her smile widened, "this is really good, did you make them yourself?" She was honestly interested in hearing the answer.

She glance over at Hotaru and smiled at her, wondering if she was finally going to speak to her today. "You should try one Hotaru," she said, putting enthusiasm into her words.

Kenshin smiled sheepishly as Kuji complained about them being late. he turned his attention back to Haruki who'd adressed him a moment before.

"Hey, Haruki-san. Good week so far?" he asked as he approached the platter of sweets yasuo had. He gazed at them longingly for a moment, then picked one up and took a bite.

He trembled purposely as he let off a satisfied sigh.
"Oohh, Yasuo! Did you make these yourself too? You've gotta teach me how to make sweets as good as this!" he spoke, almost bouncing up and down.

Haruki shrugged off what Kuji said with a smile. "Ahaha, sorry sorry. I'll try to be more punctual." he said keeping that smile fixated on his face. He then replied to his senpai with a, "Yep, it's been pretty good. I didn't get yelled at for sleeping in the class as much as I usually do." and smiled a little at what Reina said. He knew she was trying to put up with Kuji's attitude and was trying to stick up for him. "It's alright, Reina-senpai. That's how he is~.

Seeing everyone enjoy the daifukus Yasuo brought, Haruki couldn't help but dig in too. "Let me try some too." he said as he picked one up and ate it. Haruki loved sweets, especially daifukus, and this was one of the best daifukus he had ever eaten. "This is so sweet! I mean, daifukus are sweet to begin with but these are just amazing! Can I have another one?" he said and took another daifuku.
