Pirates! Action, Adventure, and Romance

Captain Hawk noticed Seamus fighting not too far away from her. "Mr. Finnigan! I'm going to the other ship!" She grabbed a rope and swung over, slashing at anyone who got in her way. She quickly found the captain's quarters and kicked the door in to find Captain Cyrus Night polishing his sword.

"Hello Little Ivelia. The last time I saw you, you were but seventeen and crying over the body of your scumbag father and screaming your vow of revenge at me as I sailed away. I hope you find my ship to your liking." He spoke casually as they began their fight.

"It's infested with vermin," she spat as she slashed at his head. They made their way out onto the deck. Ivelia was faster and more flexible, with plenty of training. But Cyrus was stronger, bigger and had more experience. If it wasn't for her pumping adrenaline and screaming rage, she would be dead in the water.

Gale sighed and smiled at the girl. "That's perfectly alright. I shouldn't expect you to not be shaky.." Above them, he could hear the battle was raging more and more. "The Treader is fighting us right now."

"That said, there is only one place the captain could be.. With her injuries, if she doesn't use her head, that fool will likely die." He sighed when he realized that she will be fighting with blood-lust instead. But instead of going to fight as he knew he should, Gale just sat down beside Lilly and took out a spoon. "Do you think you'll be fine, or do you want me to help you eat?"

Lilly's face turned bright red at Gale's question. She looked down at her hands and knew that there was no way she had the coordination to hold a spoon, but the thought of this handsome man feeding her made her feel incredibly nervous. The room was still spinning. Every time the boat rocked even a little it felt like the whole world was rocking back and forth violently. No, she definitely could not hold a spoon.

Despite this, she reached out and tried to take the spoon from him anyway. She almost had it, when she fell face first onto the floor out of her bed. She didn't even try to get up, she knew she wouldn't be able to hide her embarrassment.
"I don't think joining this crew was such a good idea... I'm such a burden..." She murmured woozily.

Captain Hawk felt her enemy's blade slice through the first layers of flesh covering her arm. She snarled at him with the rage of a wild animal, throwing herself at Captain Night. He was fast though, and she found herself slammed up against a mast.
"You've grown into a fair young woman, Little Ivelia. It's a pity that I have to kill you. If we weren't trying to kill eachother, I'd probably have you in my bed." He cooed as he carved his initials into the skin of her chest between her neck and breast. She spat in his eyes in disgust, and grinned as he jerked back.
She won the upper hand and from there. He ended up flat on the deck with her above him and right when she was about to go in for the kill, she found his pistol cocked and jammed into her shin.
"I know I'm beat. But I'm taking you with me." He said before pulling the trigger. She dropped to the deck, and he got up. His next shot was aimed at her heart but she rolled and he hit the opposite shoulder.
While rolling, Ivelia grabbed one of her pistols, and quickly fired it, shooting him straight through the heart.
She dropped her gun as Cyrus fell to the deck beside her, and tried to fight the darkness closing around her.

Seamus was putting up the best defence he could manage when he heard Ivelia call out to him, then swing right over onto the enemy ship.

"Shit... She's really getting into a frenzy. We need to repell them and cover her."

he took what chance he could to glance around the battle. "Where is the First Mate? The crew needs a secondary command to push them back... Or at least, that's how it worked in the navy... I guess its down to pirate ways? I have a lot to get used to."

Fending off another combatanant and stealing up another pistol, he spotted a ramp still connecting the two ships. Then caught up in the moment, gave out a loud roar and charged. he wasn't sure what affect it would have though, but perhaps giving into the chaos of the battle was the best way to engage when fighting as a pirate against pirates?

He flung himself onto the platform and began to shuffle along, trying his best to keep steady as it wobbled. he began to think he'd gone a little too far in the moment and gotten himself into a far too dangerous situation. But he breathed deeply and moved onward regardless. He was a pirate now, and fear was the enemy! Or was it an ally?
He shook the thought from his mind as he came to the decking of the enemy ship. Some of his allied crew had boarded as well and were caught up in their own duels.

"No sign of the First Mate... He must still be on our ship?"

It was then he spotted Ivelia in a feirce duel with what looked like the enemy captain, but from his vantage point he couldn'd tell who was winning. An appoenent finally blocked his veiw entirely and locked him into a sword duel.
Finding himself being pushed back by the opponent, Seamus decided to cheat and bluff using his empty pistol. The empty shot took the pirate off gaurd just enough to run him through.
He smiled satisifed at his little gamble, and looked back to where Ivelia had been dueling. But now both of them were on their knee's. The enemy captain toppled over, a deep wound in his chest.

Seamus smiled gleefully, and let out a cry, "The enemy captain is dead! Victory is ours!"
But then his moment of relief and satisfaction at his first pirate-v-pirate experience drained all the colour from his face, as Ivelia herself began fall to the ground in a pool of her own blood.
it was then another unkown sense came reeling to him, that he'd never felt before.
A strange mixture of anguish and fear was compelling him to carve up every single person in front of him until he reached the captains side...

Hearing a silence after gunshots, an idea struck Gale. "Lilly, you are not a burden.. Try to eat a little though, I really must help above though. I'll be back for you soon, I promise." Without waiting for a reply, Gale rushed to the deck, slashing anyone who got in the way. He knew what had happened before he left. The gunshots and then that eerie silence. A captain had fallen.

Once on the enemy ship, he saw both captains in their own blood. Pretending to ignore them, he made his way to the captain's cabin and scrambled through the papers. He saw a few maps as well as the paper he was looking for. Stuffing them both into his coat, he began to rush back to the Empress. "Looks like I've got a new hand in this game." On his return, he noticed the man from before fighting the crew to reach the captain. With a sigh, he though that he would certainly be noticed, but instead he re-boarded the Empress and noticed a few enemy pirates go into the lower quarters. "No, Lilly!"

Without thinking of anything else, he ran after the pirates who went down, blindly cutting down everyone who was in his way. The last pirate had opened the door to Lilly's room and was threating her. In disgust, he slammed his sword through the man's head and fell to the ground with the pirate. "Told you.. I'd be back.." Exhausted from all the running, Gale just laid there.

Lilly was still lying on the floor when suddenly some man came towards her. He started rattling off threats that she didn't understand, her head felt like it was full of water. The cook that was in the room before came in after him, and quickly killed the man. "You saved me..." Said Lilly, trying to drag herself over to see if the cook was alright.

"Are you alright?" She asked, trying to hide the worry from her face. She had hardly spoken to this man more than 5 minutes, but right now he was all that mattered in her eyes.

Captain Hawk struggled to breathe and stay awake, but she rolled onto her back and looked for something to help her. She spotted a rope, and pulled herself up with her good arm. She looked around, and noticed one of her own crew members taking a man with a bag over to the Empress, and she assumed he must be a doctor.

Her leg was screaming in pain, as was her shoulder, chest and previous wounds dealt by the mermaids. The bone of her leg had to be shattered, and if she lived she'd need to have it amputated.

Her crew was doing a good job. She could always tell who would win a battle when it came to mass numbers, and there was no doubt that the Empress crew could secure this victory. She groaned a little as she could no longer fight the blackness closing in and she slipped into unconsciousness, feeling herself fall but not hit the deck. Instead, a pair of arms was the last conscious thing she felt.

Amari smirked at the news, and began to look for Captain Hawk. He easily ran threw anyone in his way that wasn't part of their ship looking for her before he finally found her. Worried, he ran over to his throwing caution to the wind.

"Captain." He called to her and reached to grab her, trying to see if she was still real. He looked at her slightly panicked. He was quiet, but he turned to Seamus, who had gotten to her first. "Please send her to her quarters with the doctor that was captured." Amari stood and walked back to their ship, unable to stand all the blood on their captain any longer. He called out to their crew. "For now we take prisoners till further orders. And someone get the doctor!"

He really couldn't hide the worry could he?

"Yes. I'll be fine.. But the captain--.." He cut his sentence short and frowned when he saw the uneaten broth. "You didn't eat." Did he have to put full effort into helping her, not even get a bit from her?

He sighed and sat himself on the wall. "I'll keep guard, just hurry up and eat. It's probably already cold." He knew he didn't have the energy to protect someone, but did she? It was a gamble, one he would likely lose.

Furiously Seamus began to cut down the Pirates still between him and the Captain, whether they were still fighting or otherwise. At the time, he just didn't care.

Ivelia seemed to have finally lost the will to sit up, because her body had started to fall down to the decking. Seamus managed to reach her in time to support her near-lifeless body.

For a moment he stared at her. "Shit, this isn't good... this isn't good!"

Amari then appeared, his face riddled with concern. But he played his role well and recomposed himself, ordering Seamus to get Ivelia back to her quarters.
He announced they'd captured a doctor. Then there was a chance.

With a fair effort, he was able to pick her up and start making his way with haste back to the cabin, but all the while beig as gentle as possible so not to worsen the Captain's wounds.
Seamus wasn't about to lose another crew like before, especially so soon. He had to keep thinking positive right now.

"Hold on, Ivelia... You're not dead yet" He said as he entered her cabin and set her down.

"God, I wish I had a drink with me right now..." He thought as he stuck his head back out and yelled for the captured Doctor to be bought to the cabin immiedately.

The doctor was hurried into the captain's quarters, and and anyone else was ushered out. He removed the bullets and stitched her wounds, doing all he could. He examined her leg though, and paled. He called for a saw and various things that he'd need to amputate her lower leg.

Captain Hawk smiled at her serenity. She was in an odd place, but it was happy, quiet and beautiful. All of this was suddenly shattered as a terrible pain ripped through her.

Out on the deck, everyone heard a horrible scream erupt from the captain's cabin. It continued for sometime, until the doctor came out. His shirt was covered in blood, and he looked pale. He was quiet for a moment then addressed the crew. "She's alive."

Amari stiffened as a shiver ran threw his body when a scream erupted from the cabin. The first mate slowly felt himself get queasy at every scream. Finally, after what seemed like months, the doctor came out and gave the good news. A rush of relief went threw him as he sighed. "Thank goodness."

He walked quickly to the doctor. "Is...Is it alright to see her or do we have to wait?" He asked, somewhat nervously.

The doctor gave a nod. "She's missing a leg though. And there's some cuts right below her collar that need to air out before i bandage them. They make out the other captain's name." He opened the door for Amari.

Captain Hawk was in her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her skin was pale, she was bandaged in several places, and below her left knee, there was nothing. Her head turned so that she could see Amari, and she revealed a tear streaked face. No one on this ship had seen her cry since she was very small. "I killed him. Right?"

Seamus had been sitting not too far from outside Ivelia's cabion during the doctor's operation. He couldn't help but feel despressed about the situation and felt somewhat responsible for her current state. He'd been the closet to her vicinity after all.

He was relieved though to hear the doctor announce a successful operation, and watched hopefully through the corner of his eye as the First Mate entered the cabin.

He felt a bit confused though. In the back of his mind, he was still Navy, so he thought like a navy-man, and took his responsabilities the same way as he'd been trained to do. But on the other hand, he was meant to think like a Pirate now. So shouldn't the way of thinking be different? He wasn't too sure.

He sighed and stared at his bottle for a moment, swirling the red liquid inside. He then heaved it backwards overboard.
"Captain's orders; no heavy drinking till the sun goes down."
He stood himself up against the railing, and decided to go find the Chef to see if he needed a hand with something.

Amari sucked in a breath at the doctors words. "Alright. Thank you." He said and walked into the cabin. Amari's face fell when he saw her, and he hated to see what he did to her many times over. He nodded grimly when she asked about the other pirate. "Yes. We're holding the rest of the ship that's alive hostage until further orders." He stepped closer and went to level at where she was laying.
"This is the first time I've seen you cry." He said softly, taking his sleeve and gently whipping away the tears on her wet face.

"Don't tell anyone, or I'll throw you overboard." Ivelia spoke quietly, and the threat was obviously empty. She closed her eyes, organizing her thoughts. "Raid the Treader, and once we're a safe distance away I want to see her sink to the bottom of the ocean. Figure out who is willing to join and not be mutinous, kill the rest."

Ivelia sat up slowly, tying her shirt to hide the cuts that spelled out the name of her dead foe. The wounds inflicted by the mermaids had been freshly stitched, and their sting was nothing compared to her leg. As her vest was laced up, the wounds were pressed together and sealed off.

"We need to go to port soon, so that I can get a..replacement.." She could barely see straight, but she was too stubborn to be bed ridden. "Will you help me outside?" She picked up her father's hat and stared at it for a moment before putting it on.

After a short time, everything went silent. The fighting was over. Not long after that, there was a woman's scream. "I'd assume surgery. I'll go see if I can help."

Gale soon found the source of the screaming; the captain herself. "So she is alive. That's good news." Walking into the room without a single word, he saw the captain talking to the first mate and walked right back out. After some more walking, he found the man he saw fighting on the Treader. "Hey! Lilly is awake now, that is, in case you were wondering. Thought I'd run back to my cot for a bottel and we could all relax. There's been a lot of fighting recently."

Amari chuckled despite himself. "I keep my word." He nodded and stood. "We will be arriving within the next twenty four hours." He said and wrapped and arm around his shoulder and hoisted her up to a standing position.

He opened the door and lead her out onto the deck where the steering wheel was and lead her to it. Finally, they reached the front and saw all the crew. "Is here alright?" Amari asked.

Ivelia found how difficult it was to walk with one leg even though she had Amari to help her. She was still pale and had begun to sweat slightly. She gave Amari a slight nod. "Tell the crew to raid the Treader. I want to sink it with its own canon balls."

Once the order was given she looked back up at Amari. "And find me Mr. Finnigan as well Mr. Blackwater." Her fingers gripped the railing a bit too hard, turning her already pale knuckles white.

After wandering about the ship for a short time, Seamus was instead found by the man he was looking for. It was good to hear Lilly had made her own recovery.

Seamus thought about the offer for another drink. He had only just thrown a bottle overboard not too long ago in a mock-attempt to not drink more, but that didn't mean he didn't want any at all.

"Sounds like a good plan, but I figured there'd still be work to do. Not that more of a quiet drink doesn't sound like a bit'o heaven right now."

Seamus noticed the First Mate had helped the Captain out of her cabin. She looked as if her body would give way at any moment.
"Captain's awake," he gestured, "She's a tough one to be forcing herself to move around like that... I'm not a doctor, but I've seen enough injuries to warrant her need to remain in bed."
He then shrugged, "Guess this may be her way of showing the crew that nothing's wrong.

Lilly stumbled over to the bowl and ate it as fast as she could. She felt bad for leaving it like that before when the cook had worked so hard to make it, but those men had attacked her before she had the chance. It was only a little cold.

She felt bad she couldn't help with the captain. "I should have thought this through more... Some one useless like me can only be a burden..."

Gale looked to where the man had gestured. "Aye, as strong as she is stupid." He then shrugged and began walking back to where Lilly was resting. "We'll get that bottle after we check up on her." Stopping short, he suddenly burst into laughter.

"How could I forget something so trivial?" With a sigh, Gale stopped laughing. "Gale Blackwater, and as you already know, the chef. I also excel in swordsmanship."

((You know what, Amari needs to let off some of his formality. Someone should befriend him so he can loosen up a little. Please? >.>))

Amari stood for a moment before pulling out his sword and handing it to her as something to balance on before walking down the stairs. After a moment of looking around he saw Gale. "Mr. Blackwater, Finnigan, the captain requests you." He paused in remembrance, "We raid the ship and sink it."

He smiled a little before asking. "Though, where is Lilly? I lost track of everyone a little while back." He really hated not knowing where and what was going on, it was really irking. "I just want to see if she's alright."

Seamus blushed a bit, awkwardly. He'd not realised that the whole time that he and Gale had chatted, neither had properly introduced.

He half laughed and gestured for a hand shake. "Seamus Finnigan. Ships... err... I do odd jobs!" He finally said with smile.

At that moment, Amari then walked over to them; telling them the Captain requested their presence. But why would she want to speak with us? Seamus blushed a bit again. "She doesn't somehow know that I'd carried her does she?"

He awkwardly stared at the captain for a minute, before responding to Amari's question.
"Gale's been taking care of her. We were just about to see how she was going, but if the Captain wants to talk, we can say hello again later. You should come along, I'm sure she'd enjoy the extra company."
Seamus thought for a bit, "Come to think of it, I wonder how many men we lost in that conflict... I guess I'll find and check the ships log later as something to do...
