Pirates! Action, Adventure, and Romance

Arnold studied Amari for a moment until he saw the captain coming towards them. "Wow. How is it that you haven't had any thoughts about that?! She's a gorgeous young lass. By Neptune's beard, how is she a pirate captain with that face and body?"

Captain Hawk was being helped by a crew member to go to Amari when she picked up what a new sailor was saying. Amari looked ready to smack the boy, and so was she. Once she got to them, he'd finished, but she gave him a deadly glare. "I don't care what your name is, but let's get something straight. First, I have amazing hearing, and second, I am not a 'gorgeous young lass'." With that, she put her hand on Amari's shoulder for support, using the other to reel back and punch him square in the jaw so hard that he landed on his back.

Amari felt his eyebrow twitch again when he heard the captain walk behind them. Honestly, he never thought about it until the thought was put in his head. Now he wished he wasn't thinking it. Mental scarring he didn't need.

Though Amari just about died from relief when when Captain Hawk showed up. When she put her hand on his shoulder he steeled himself so that both of them wouldn't fall over when she punched the newer crew member in the face. By now a small crowd had showed up to see what the commotion was about. Amari's stoic face wavered for a moment to show amusement as he tried to contain laughing from both humor and relief.

Captain Hawk yelled for someone to take the now unconscious Arnold below deck before turning to Amari. "Fine job." She gestured in the direction of where the Treader had been. Her face was quickly paling from the pain of standing so long. "Help me back to my quarters."

Using her sword and Amari for support, she made it back to her room. "Thank you." She sat on her bed and gestured for him to come in and shut the door. The mess she'd made in her anger faintly registered in the back of her mind, but she didn't care. "I...I apologize. You're right. I should have been resting instead of trying to jump right back into work. I'm...I'll admit that I'm afraid of Gale though. He's the kind of sailor who could start a mutiny.."

Ivelia coughed awkwardly and looked up at Amari briefly. "How long till we reach a port? I need an actual doctor. Not some pirate makeshift." She held her face in her hands, trying to not pass out or vomit from pain.

((OCC was trying to get Rose or Notte to help on this, buuuut, never mind then. Introducing Doctor..? Who'll I'll use orange text when I post with him.. With the absence of the others, probably helps to have two on hand.))

"Hello?" Responded Adrian as he turned to see a rather unshaven and untidy man walking towards him. "*sigh*... I'd hoped no-one would spot me back here" He thought as he forced a smile and stood himself in between his make-shift work station where already bottles of mixed ingredients had been set up on a bench, ready for being turned to his practice.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

Gale wondered the ship once the captain left. Feeling ashamed that he failed to ask her to join in celebration and instead handed her a drink, he tried to find a place that he could be alone and look at what he had stolen from the Treader.

"This is turning to be much harder than I thought." With a sigh of failure, Gale found Seamus and who he guessed was the doctor. "I'll just listen for a bit..", Gale thought as he kept himself hidden in a nearby room.

Amari nodded stiffly to her and closed the door firmly before returning in front of her. His mask slipped a little into a face of worry. "Is the pain getting worse? I hope it doesn't get infected." He mumbled and was silent for a while. "I'm already starting to keep an eye on him, he worries me as well."

Amari looked out a window on the opposite wall. "We should reach port by morning if the winds stay the way they are." He actually was starting to get a little sick of the ocean. Amari didn't really like sailing on the ocean more than a few months, more than that he'd get a little more than just cranky, or strange.

Ivelia watched Amari for a moment, realizing why everyone had been telling her what to do earlier. "I hate to admit it, but i just don't understand. Why are you worried about me? We're pirates for Pete's sake," her voice rose and she flung her sword across the room. "We can't care like that. We'll just get hurt for it since we're constantly in danger of getting killed."

The young captain scowled at Amari. "I can't get myself to stop caring, so I want you to stop caring. One day, I'll be dead, and you better not be hurt by it. You better put on my hat and do your best. Got it?" She still felt the pain from her father's death, and she never wanted anyone she cared about to feel that pain.

"Now find Mr. Finnigan and send him in."

Seamus felt a bit awkward in the presence of the new doctor. It was strange, but he gave off an almost unsettling aura.
"A-actually, I'd thought since you've been taken on as the new doctor... and we've gained other new crew members from those who changed sides, rather than remain just as captives. Maybe you could help me update the ships crew log? It'd help with your doctor work, right?

*tch* Adrian scowled a little. "You haven't been on a pirating ship for long, have you?

He turned back to his table, and after staring for a moment, began shuffling through a small bag and producd a dusty old ledger from inside.
"You have a good point though, and I suppose the rules work different from one ship to another. Though I've never heard of a pirate ship that'd care to keep track of its crew, particularly for medical reasons. But maybe if it has one, it'll add a bit more etiquette to the vessel? He said as he handed the book to Seamus.

"Just tear out the first few pages. They're useless notes now. Then make yourself useful and get the names of the crew, and take down any medical mumbo-jumbo they tell you... I rather hope you can read and write?"

Amari was silent for a long time. "I don't know why I care about you so much." Maybe it was because she was the first person to take him seriously, or it could be anything. He took a breath and looked at her fully. "Fine." He knew where she came from, and could understand.

He turned and walked out of the room to find Seamus. Through a bit of searching he finally found him in some room with the doctor. Amari lightly knocked on the door. "Seamus, Captain Hawk would like to see you in her cabin." He said and stepped aside for him to leave and looked at the doctor clearly for the first time.

Seamus took the ledger, carefully wiping off some of the dust as he cradled it under his arm.
"Aye, I'll get onto it." he replied as he began to turn for the exit.

At that moment, Amari poked his head in through the door. "The Captain? Aye-Aye, right away." He replied as he went for the door, his mind wandering a bit as he pondered for what reason he'd been called for.
He paused a moment just before leaving, "It may take a bit, but I'll try to have it done before dark." He then hurried off towards the Captain's Cabin.

Adrian eyed off the new face who'd poked his head into his new abode, locking his gaze for a moment to consider any additional intent.
"Take your time, He said as Seamus left, then muttered to himself. "The longer the better for some quiet.".

When Seamus came in, Ivelia was still sitting on her bed and holding a bottle of rum. "Mr. Finnigan." She glanced up at him. "I thought about it, and for saving my life, I decided to give you a more..permanent poistion. I hope you enjoy the crow's nest."

Captain Hawkglanced at the bottle in her hand then held it out to Seamus. "We lost one of the men who worked it. You'll get the morning shift for now."

((Yeaah. I feel like I should have been the one to reply to the role play. That and I don't want it to die.

Andari looked at the doctor with bored intrest. "Are you the new doctor?" He asked and leaned on the door railing.
